Chris Biddy
"Chris Biddy turns to Facebook and other social networks for inspiration for his watercolor paintings. His subjects are self-represented, captured via their smart phones or digital cameras, observed within the context of their respective lives. Biddy uses these vernacular images to transport the subject from its original common state of snapshot to a parred down representation of our current social media zeitgeist. "

Chris Biddy had his debut solo show in NYC at BILL BRADY/ATM GALLERY, – SPRING of 2010.
Since then he has been showing in numerous group shows and solo shows including at NERMAN MUSEUM of CONTEMPORARY ART – OVERLAND PARK, KANSAS. His works are in private and museum collections. |
John Park
John Austin Park was born and raised in Florida and attended the New York Academy of Art where he received his MFA and was awarded a post-graduate fellowship in painting.
The artist has always been drawn to the inherent narrative possibilities of figuration and environment. His work has also been heavily influenced by the abstract qualities of the industrial landscape and modern life that shares a language with artists such as Charles Sheeler, De Chirico, and Neo Rauch. Mr. Park’s work has been in group shows and private collections throughout New York, Connecticut, Virginia, and Florida. |
